Steve James of the Guru Viking podcast has just released a wonderful new interview with Sky Press author, Tibetan yogi and physician Dr Nida Chenagtsang on his life story.

In this inspiring interview Dr Nida discusses his early upbringing in Mahlo, a nomadic grassland region of Amdo, Northeastern Tibet, and the effects it had on him. Dr Nida reminisces on his educational journey in Tibet and on learning in general, and reflects on the course of his medical and spiritual training. He describes how he met some of his most important teachers and offers several fascinating insights and perspectives on the links between Vajrayana and Tibetan medicine, the Yuthok Nyingthig tantric Buddhist teachings for professional doctors, the guru-disciple relationship, the tulku institution or succession-by-reincarnation in Tibetan societies, and many other subjects besides.
